Mrs MPK, was diagnosed to have high blood sugars during early pregnancy. We were very much worried about pregnancy with diabetes. I was referred to Dr Makarand; who explained us the effects on my body and on growing baby and possible outcomes. He advised proper diet, exercise and medicines. He himself taught us sugar checking and insulin injection. With his continuous monitoring and thorough guidance, we are blessed with a healthy daughter without complications. We are really grateful to be under his care through-out pregnancy.

This was my first pregnancy and I was diagnosed with a very rare skin disease. My body was covered with many watery boils. They were not painful but very itchy. As soon as we were told about the weird name, we both got very anxious. But our doctor advised us to meet Dr Rane once. After meeting him, we got clear information about the disease, its treatment and care during pregnancy. He had told specific precautions at time of delivery to my gynaecologist. He also suggested treatment to be changed after delivery to avoid immediate rise in rash.

मला लिव्हरचा प्रॉब्लेम असून लग्नापूर्वी ४-५ वेळा कावीळ झाली होती. लग्नानंतर सर्व गोळ्या बंद होत्या. प्रेग्नन्सी च्या चौथ्या महिन्यात रक्ताच्या उलट्या झाल्या आणि पुन्हा कावीळ झाली. रक्तसुद्धा कमी होऊ लागले. ५व्या महिन्यात एन्डोस्कोपी आणि बॅंडिंग करण्यात आले. यापुढे प्रेग्नेंसी कंटीन्यू करता येईल का? पुन्हा रक्ताच्या उलट्या तर नाही होनार ना? बाळाला काही त्रास होईल का? इत्यादी शंका मनात होत्या. परंतु डॉक्टर राणे यांची भेट घेतल्यानंतर सर्व शंकांचे निरसन झाले. त्यांनी आमचे गॅस्ट्रोएंटेरॉलॉजिस्ट आणि  गायनॅकोलॉजिस्ट यांच्याशी चर्चा करून पुढील प्लॅन केला. त्याप्रमाणे सुटेबल मेडिसिन दिले आणि वेळोवेळी तपासण्या करायला सांगितल्या. नऊ महिने पूर्ण झाल्यावर व्यवस्थीत डिलिव्हरी झाली असून मी व बेबी सुखरूप आहोत.

मी 39 वर्षांची शिक्षिका आहे, मला अनियंत्रित मधुमेह, उच्च रक्तदाब आणि थायरॉईडचा त्रास आहे. आम्ही दुसर्या प्रेग्नेंसी चे नियोजन करीत असतानाया समस्यांमुळे आम्ही काळजीत होतो. आमच्या प्रसूतितज्ञांनी डॉ. मकरंद राणे यांना भेटण्यास सांगितले.

 डॉक्टरांनी आम्हाला आजार व त्यांचे गर्भावस्थेवर आणि वाढत्या बाळावर होणार्या दुष्परिणामांविषयी जागरूक केले. त्यांनी गरोदरपणात सुरक्षित उपचारपद्धती  आणि आमच्या वेळापत्रकला संलग्न असा सल्ला दिला. व्हाट्सएपद्वारे वारंवार संवाद साधून डोसमध्ये बदल केल्याने रिपोर्ट चांगले आलेत आणि आमचा तणाव कमी झाला. आमच्याकडे नुकताच छोटा पाहुणा सुखरुप आला आहे. त्यासाठी आम्ही डॉ. मकरंद राणे यांचे आभार मानतो.

मला माझ्या गरोदरपणात ओमीटिंगचा प्रचंड त्रास होत होता. मागील प्रेग्ननन्सीच्या वेळी हा त्रास सहन न झाल्याने मला गर्भपात करावा लागला होता. आत्ता पाच डॉक्टर्सचे मेडिसिन करून सुद्धा त्रास कमी होत नव्हता. फक्त सलाईन लावले कि बरे वाटायचे आणि डिसचार्ज घेतला की त्रास सुरू. दोन आठवड्यापासून अन्न पाचत नव्हते, शिवाय आठ किलो वजन कमी झाले होते. बाळाची वाढ आत्ता कशी होणार याचीच चिंता मला लागून होती.

     तेव्हा आमच्या प्रसूतीतज्ञांनी डॉ. मकरंद राणे यांच्याकडे जाण्याचा सल्ला दिला. त्यांनी तपासणी केली, रिपोर्ट्स बघितले आणि सर्व व्यवस्थित होईल असे अश्वासन दिले. काही आहारातील बदल सुचवून काही गोळ्या दिल्या, त्यानंतर आत्ता एक महिना झाला, कधीतरी फक्त मळमळ होते. ओमीटिंग पूर्ण थांबलि असून माझे आणि माझ्या बाळाचे वजनही वाढू लागले आहे.
